Tactical Assault Crossbow

The best defense is attack. And if you take a zombie, it's better to storm, and in this case a crossbow TAC-15, which is usually used for hunting, is useful. Engineers developed the upper crossbow module, which can be attached to the standard lower module from the M16 assault rifle.

Tissot Tactile Watches

It's not just a watch, it's a device equipped with everything necessary for extreme conditions.
With the help of light pressure on the glass, the functions of the digital chronograph, thermometer and alarm clock, date indicator of the "eternal" calendar, the compass and the diver's log are activated. In case you have to dive very deep and for long, the clock can withstand a depth of 100 meters. The perfect visibility of the watch is guaranteed by the bright fluorescent materials with which the case is coated and effective backlighting.

Protection (shell)

When choosing a defense against a zombie, you need to select something that is reliable, but not constraining the movement. You must be more brisk, mobile than these hulking creatures.
The bulletproof vest is too heavy, but the model of the protective shell of the Titan Sport Jacket from Fox Racing, designed for freeride and downhill, will not make you look like a hockey player in full gear.

First Aid Kit

It goes without saying that, to escape from zombies, you need to grab a first aid kit.

Given our harsh winters, you need to take immediately a sleeping bag for extreme conditions, withstanding -32 degrees. For example, Salewa weighing 2 kg with proprietary technology Silverized Down Technology, Chamber Construction and V-chamber.

Set for a fire from Zippo

Wild animals and zombies are afraid of fire. And, as Captain Obviously would say, the fire warms and you can prepare food on it. You never know when and where you will find the need to build a fire in the conditions of the apocalypse - specifically for such a fire case, the company Zippo has developed a set for breeding a fire. It includes moisture repellent tinder and, of course, a lighter, packed in a stylish orange metal box.

Food

To have the strength for survival, it is necessary to stock up with hearty sandwiches and other food, preferably with a long shelf life and high caloric content.

Binoculars

If you do not want to carry a thermal imager, you can just use binoculars. For example, the Vanguard Endeavor was repeatedly recognized as the best binoculars.

Gun

A pistol is not the best method to fight a zombie. But for self-defense may be needed. We recommend the German quality of Heckler & Koch P2000 pistols, which have been in service with the police for over 20 years.

Armored Helmet

If you really defend yourself against zombies, so from head to foot. Be sure to take an armored vehicle with you so that your enemies do not break your skull.
>

And in order to break the skull of a zombie, a baseball bat is useful.

Backpack

And finally, to pack all this equipment, you need a good backpack.
It is worth paying attention to the model OffGrid Solar BackPack with a capacity of 24.5 liters. The front pocket is equipped with a solar panel, which can be used to recharge electronic devices.

It’s often said that if you’re in a survival situation with a phone that has signal, you’re not really in a survival situation at all.
Being able to directly call for help eliminates a whole host of potential scenarios that could result in serious damage to a hiker or camper in trouble, and so having charge in your phone can be imperative.
That’s where the BioLite Camp Stove comes in. Not only is it a camping stove, it is also a charger, generating power from burning biomass. You would have to burn hours of fuel to get the stove to fully charge your phone, but in times of need it could provide that extra spark needed to let you make that pivotal call. A genius survival gadget indeed!

Okay so this one is kind of cheating. It’s not so much one survival gadget as several survival gadgets… but it all comes in a oner, so we’re claiming it!
You never know quite what you’re going to get into when you’re out camping, so particularly for those who are new to outdoor exploration, this Bear Grylls survival kit is ideal. The 15-piece kit has tools ranging from firestarters to survival blankets to sewing kits and snare wires, as well as instructions on how to signal for attention if it all goes wrong.

9) Zippo Hand Warmer

Know that time your mate who doesn’t even smoke bought a zippo just because he thought it looked cool? Well he was right, it does look cool, and now you can own one too… for a function that’s actually worthwhile!
This Zippo hand warming gives off ten times more heat than a disposable hand warmer, is re-usable, doesn’t have a flame and works for up to 12 hours with just one fill. Oh, and you’ll look like an absolute boss if you learn how to flick it on properly.

10)  Leatherman One Hand Tool

A multi-tool shouldn’t be viewed as a knife with a bunch of other stuff attached. In fact, if you’re really after a survival knife, you should get one separate to a multi-tool, a straight-edged, fixed knife which is far more reliable in crucial situations than one designed to fold away.
However, that doesn’t mean multi-tools aren’t useful. They save a whole lot of space in your bag and can provide all sorts of benefits when you’re dealing with the niggles and hassles of camping life. This Leatherman multi-tool makes handling those hassles even easier, allowing for one handed deployment of all 16 features on the survival gadget.

It’s also very easy to identify each tool via imprints left on the handle, meaning this is one of the most practical multi-tools about, which at the end of the day, is why you bring along the survival gadget in the first place!

How to use a smartphone for survival?

How to use a smartphone for survival?

If you get lost or get into an emergency situation in an absolutely wilderness, it's logical to use a smartphone to navigate and call rescuers. But what if the battery is damaged, the phone is damaged or there is no mobile connection? It turns out that even in this case the gadget can still serve and, probably, save your life.

The most important thing to remember in this case: your smartphone is simply stuffed with different wiring, as well as plastic, electronic and metal parts. When it comes to survival, it's worth forgetting about the cost of the gadget, parsing it and figuring out how to use them. Here are a few ideas.

Battery

Lithium-ion battery smartphone is one of the most important components. We all remember the stories about how defective batteries of some devices can spontaneously ignite. This is due to the fact that lithium is an alkaline metal with a high reactivity and, when in contact with air, it usually lights up. So why not take advantage of this to build a fire?

This method is reliable, but one-time. Therefore, if you want to be able to fire a fire several times, it is worth choosing a more gentle method of using the battery. To do this, you need to find in the electronic insides of your smartphone some thin wires or even foil to close the contacts.

Screen

If the whole screen of the smartphone, then it is best to use it as a light reflecting element for distress signals. A sunny bunny from the screen can be seen for miles.

If the screen is broken, then still do not rush to throw it away. In vain, what, the best laboratories of the world have developed this ultra-strong tempered glass? With it, you can refresh a carcass of shallow prey or sharpen the end of a wooden stick.

Motherboard

The motherboard of the device consists of a fairly hard and sharp edge of the material, which, depending on the need, can be used as a scraper or even a knife. If you break the board into several parts of a suitable shape, then you will get very sharp tips suitable for small darts. Do not forget to first carefully inspect all electronic components in search of the most suitable for the role of a fishing hook.

Speaker

Everyone knows that in the dynamics of almost any smartphone you can find a small magnet. Various small procrastinations in the gadget also suffice. So, you can build a compass.

To do this, simply put a magnetized piece of wire on any sheet and place it on the surface of the water. As a result of the action of the Earth's magnetic field, one of the ends of the wire will point you to the north.

In the movie below, a few other materials are used, but it gives a visual representation of the sequence of actions.

Headphones

More than half of mobile gadget owners never part with headphones, so we decided to include this accessory in the review. Of course, you will need a headset no longer as a source of beautiful music, but as a strong and thin cord. There can be dozens of different situations, when it can be useful to you, for example, as a line for a fishing rod or a tourniquet to stop the blood from trauma. Therefore, in any case, do not throw your favorite headphones, even when you are completely out of music.

And what methods of using a mobile phone for survival can you offer? Complete this article with class advice, and we'll include it in the text!

SOS from a teenager

SOS from a teenager

Imagine: your teenager is ringing late at night, walking with friends. He has an uncertain and a little tense voice, but when you ask what the matter is, he says that everything is all right.

The next day it turns out that he used alcohol yesterday or first tried drugs ... because he did not know how to avoid this situation, but Bert Fulks, the father of teenage son Danny, was thinking about this problem. Fulks is the pastor himself and grew up in the pastor's house; He knows how difficult it is to grow in such an atmosphere.

Fulks trusts his son, but for him it was important that the son is not afraid to call for help, if necessary.

To do this, Fulks developed an original cipher, which allows his son to send his father a signal to the SOS, not embarrassed by his friends.

This idea came to Fulkes in the head when he communicated with adolescents in rehabilitation clinics across America. He tells:

"Recently I asked these guys:" You used to happen that you got into circumstances where something unpleasant for you starts to happen, but you do not go away, because you do not see any way out? "All of them raised their hands."

Fulks explains how his system works:

For example, my youngest son went to a party.

If for any reason he becomes uncomfortable in this situation, it is enough for him to send the letter X to one of us (mother, me, older brother or sister).

Next, the SMS recipient follows a simple protocol. A few minutes later he calls Danny. When he picks up the phone, the following conversation occurs:

- Hello?

"Danny, there's something happened, I need to pick you up urgently."

- What happened?

- I'll tell you later. Get ready, I'm on my way.

Then Danny tells his friends that something has happened at home, so now someone will come and take him.

Most importantly: children need to know that they will not be punished for the situation from which they want to escape.

Fulks insists that in order to build trust between the parent and the child, one must adhere to the policy of "no unnecessary questions".

Of course, not all parents can keep from asking ... but mutual respect and trust is the only way to protect the child from harm!

Survival knife FOX FX 132 Trapper

Survival knife FOX FX 132 Trapper. The dream of a modern survivor.

General principles for the development of such knives vary considerably and new approaches are constantly being sought. Such an interesting modern approach was demonstrated by the Italian company FOX Knives, offering the FX 132 Trapper to the market.

Trappers were called settlers of the American West, who alone left for the forest and there, with fire, an ax, a knife and strong hands, created pastures for cattle, destroying part of the forest for this. They did this, as a rule, alone and were very harsh people, for whom survival in the forest was more likely a norm than some kind of surprise. Naturally, a knife with this name is meant for survival in a wild forest.

This knife is used quite rare among other models, but the N690Co steel is often found in FOXKnives - high-carbon steel, which has excellent cutting properties, but undergoes some corrosion, due to which the knife is made with a durable Teflon coating black on the blade.

The geometry of the blade of this knife is designed to assemble in one blade all the geometric finds that have been found by the knife manufacturers in the last hundred years. There is an edge with concave descents, a tanto frontal edge and a tip from tanto knives. Also there are straight arched slopes, a double false blade, and a powerful and convenient choyl.

In general, by the number of technical solutions used on one blade of the Trapper, perhaps the most incredible survival knife I've ever had in my hands. On the other hand, among knife lovers there are lots of technology enthusiasts for technology, and for them such an unusual and so well executed survival knife can be a very pleasant gift, which, God forbid, nobody will have to use for their intended purpose.

The pendant and translator. A thing that can help in survival

The pendant and translator. A thing that can help in survival

Last spring, the Ukrainian team introduced the first domestic technological startup in the fashion industry (as they themselves position their product). This is a fashionable SenStone pendant that you can use to convert voice notes to text. Last night the pendant started at Kickstarter, the goal was to raise $ 50,000. At the time of the publication, it was possible to collect more than $ 30,000, and there were 37 days left before the end of the campaign.

According to Nazar Fedorchuk, the author of the SenStone idea, the pendant will most likely be produced in Asia. "We are negotiating with factories in this part of the world, mainly for economic reasons. The main product development is carried out in Ukraine, "he said.

To date, the startup has already completed work on the prototype, sent out 12 samples of gadgets for reviews to journalists from the US and Britain. "The device is ready for production, we are collecting funds for the production of the first batch," Nazar says.

The first deliveries are planned for July of this year. The retail price of the basic equipment will be $ 145. Beckers on Kickstarter will traditionally receive discounts (those who support the project in the amount of $ 120 or more).
